Understands construction principles and procedures.Must have a valid driver's licence with a clean driving record for the last 3 years.Legal right to work in New ZealandTasks & ResponsibilitiesMaintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use, and securing the job site daily.Load, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools, distributing them to the appropriate locations according to project plans or specifications.Dismantle temporary structures such as barricades and scaffolding. Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, compact and level earth to grade specifications using picks, shovels, or rakes.Operate a variety of hand power tools and construction vehicles, measure, mark, record openings and distances to lay out areas where construction work will be performed.Position, join, align, or seal structural components or pipes. Dismantle forms for pouring concrete. Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify any errors or defects.Assist with transport and operation of heavy machinery and equipment.
