Job Description :Work Location: Auckland Region
Employment type: Full time (minimum 30 hours/per week, workdays from Monday to Saturday), Permanent role
Our pay: $29.66 - $32.00 per hour depending on skills and experience
We are now looking for 3 Construction Riggers to join our supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right people and will allow access into a reputable and experienced company.
Key Tasks Include:

Attach loads to rigging machinery to move them from one place to another Perform pulley and block attaching activitiesEnsure that pulleys and blocks are properly attached to beams, ceilings and pole booms
Make sure that the right amount sized bolts and clamps are used for each attachment Handle the movement of heavy equipment with the help of controlsAssemble and dismantle rigging equipment at the end of each shiftManipulate rigging lines and hoists in order to control attached heavy equipment

Ensure that the selected cables, pulleys and winches are in accordance to the weight of the equipment that needs to be hoisted or movedCommunicate with construction staff using verbal communication or hand signals so as to ensure the safety and correct movement of heavy equipment or materials
Ensure compliance to safe rigging practices at every step of the rigging process Perform cleanliness and maintenance duties on rigging equipment and toolsEnsure that all rigging gear is stored in a proper manner and is ready for the next shift
To be successful you will need to:

Have at least 1 year relevant construction work experience (On-job training will also be provided), orHave a relevant NZ Level 4 qualificationBe a great team player, be able to follow instructions
Be physically fit and willingness to work hardGood eye for details and an ability to solve problems practically and effectivelyhave "can-do" attitude
