Job Description: About the Role Based at Whangarei, this fast paced, challenging role will allow you to showcase your commercial construction management experience and further develop these skills on this $100m development. Reporting to the Commercial Site Manager you will be instrumental in the on-going construction of the multi-level main building featuring a swimming pool and a memory care wing. As the Site Supervisor your responsibilities will include: Understanding the project brief, initiate and mobilise the resources necessary for successful project delivery. Assist in developing, and implementation of the site-specific safety plan, ensuring the correct allocation of responsibilities. Direct, manage, and coordinate all labour contractors and suppliers in order to meet the project timeline, quality and budget criteria Work alongside and assist Site Managers / Project Managers to plan the work programme, resolve any identified problems and implement improvements. Completing records for site reports, including health and safety, adherence to project specifications and review documentation Carry out regular inspections to ensure compliance with relevant legal requirements, and consistency with Summersets processes and procedures Qualifications: About You You will be a highly organised & proactive self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills and a passion for construction management. To be successful you will bring: Must have at least one year of experience working as a Site Supervisor, Site Foreman, or similar role Ability to read, understand and interpret construction plans and drawings Must have technical management skills to establish project requitements Relevant qualification preferred (however, many years of similar work experience, qualification won't be needed) Excellent knowledge of health and safety principles Excellent interpersonal skills Knowledge of Microsoft Projects is advantageous Additional Information: What's in it for you?
