Site Specialist Infrastructure at Ara Poutama Aotearoa (Department of Corrections), Wellington (Te Whanganui a Tara)Key Responsibilities: Lead impactful digital infrastructure upgrades across Corrections' prison and community sites.Assess requirements, design, and deliver digital infrastructure changes to support our frontline.Build excellent relationships with site representatives and vendors.Nga kawenga | About the role The Site Specialist role is integral to our operations. You will be tasked with evaluating requirements, implementing physical infrastructure changes, and new digital infrastructure to our prison, community, and other sites within the Corrections network.
The work can range in scale from the relocation of data ports, cabling, and switches; through changes to repurposed rooms or buildings; to significant project designs and delivery into new complex multi-building sites. The role requires a strong operational understanding of how our digital services are utilized by our staff within our buildings, and how Digital and our vendors deliver those services.
Minimum Requirements: Deep understanding in identifying and articulating functional and non-functional business requirements.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.Ability to take a consulting approach to work and add value by quickly identifying the key cause of issues and assisting with the development of appropriate solutions.Proven ability to successfully build and maintain ongoing business relationships.Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence and build consensus.This role will require you to travel nationally to fulfill the requirements of this position.
The midpoint of the salary range is $103,678, and the full range (85%-120%) is $88,127 - $124,414. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
