We seek individuals who thrive in this environment and embrace significant challenges without hesitation.About the RoleWe have an exciting opportunity for a Site RF Design Engineer to join the Tait Systems team on a fixed-term basis for two years, playing a pivotal role in the planning and designing of sites in the PSN network.Reporting to the Head of Design, this role involves assisting with site surveys, noise testing and analysis of results which input to the Tait RF team coverage and capacity plans. In addition, you will be involved in assessment of infrastructure, the RF environment and RF requirements for a site, and creating the detailed site design.Your key responsibilities will include:Working collaboratively with the Tait RF design team to ensure all relevant information is gathered during site visits.Carrying out site surveys, including noise and interference measurements required for RF design.Working collaboratively with the wider design, build and site acquisition teams to ensure timely deployment of sites.Ensuring systems such as planning and site tracking databases are kept up to date.Identifying and managing improvement and efficiency programmes in the design domain.Working closely with the build team to ensure the most cost-effective solution for Tait Systems is deployed.About YouWe are keen to hear from individuals with the following skills:Good understanding of Mobile/LMR RAN networks including FDMA/TDMA systems.5-10+ years of RF planning/design experience.Experienced within coverage, frequency and capacity planning.Availability and ability to participate in site surveys across New Zealand.Experienced designing site antenna and feeder systems.Good understanding of assessing noise and interference on site and how to mitigate issues.Apply NowIf this sounds like you, apply now with your CV and cover letter!
