Supported by a longstanding, knowledgeable and passionate team of professionals, you will work to maintain and enhance the productive capability and financial returns of this site.You will also actively take part in the shared vision and leadership of the overall New Zealand business and the wider group.Leadership of a process and quality-driven production environment with approximately 55 employeesMaximisation of production efficiencies including building on an already embedded "lean" manufacturing system, whilst preserving the unique customer services features required in the businessUpholding and promoting the company's values Safety, Excellence, Ownership and TeamworkLead, develop and motivate all staff and ensure effective people managementDesign and implement strategies to meet yearly staff Engagement and Alignment targetsDriving and owning one of the companies' key strategic objectivesEnsure all Safety, Quality, GMP and HACCP policies and procedures are maintained and adhered to across the siteCareful and sustainable environmental management of a large, ecologically sensitive siteInitiate and champion capital and improvement projectsPro-actively contribute to the New Zealand Leadership Team by setting, reviewing and achieving strategic objectives for overall business successBe the recognised representative of the company in the local communityBe the steward of an ionic but relevant business that has existed since 1942To be successful in this role you will have…Strong technical background in process and/or manufacturingTertiary qualification in Engineering, Science, Technology or similarSeveral years' experience leading a medium-size manufacturing plantProven ability to lead a remote site, implementing the company visionIdeally experience with food safety programs (GMP, FSSC22000)Experience with capital program implementation and controlExperience with implementation and management of Quality and HSE proceduresStrong track record with design and implementation of manufacturing/operational improvement techniques (incl."lean")Solid understanding of employment relations and everyday HR proceduresSolid financial and P&L management skills including margin and variance analysis, costing and efficiency controlGood computer and corporate reporting skillsProven ability to lead and/or manage capital projectsExperience in managing large (area) sites and land maintenance/development would be highly regarded.Further, you will need the following personal attributes…Highly effective leader, manager and coach of your direct reportsOutstanding communication skills throughout all levels of the organisationAbility to take responsibility and achieve objectives in a team environmentAble to act autonomously, but at the same time inclusive with staff and peersAn ability to see beyond the current and visualize AND realise the future
