Magna Concrete and Construction is seeking a hands-on Site Manager to join the team and run concrete and structural projects on-site in Tauranga.

About the Role: Magna has an exciting opportunity available for a hands-on Site Manager / Working Foreman responsible for delivering projects, leading a small team, managing sub-contractors, implementing health and safety on-site, and overseeing the installation of concrete foundations and formwork, as well as a wide range of other constructions.
For example, they have a new playground project underway in downtown Tauranga, ongoing civil and infrastructure works, park redevelopments, and some high-end residential foundations and commercial structure projects.
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have: A background in Building, Commercial Construction, Civil, or Formwork.
Experience running teams, sub-contractors, and suppliers, and working in tandem with other trades.
Practical skills in setout, carpentry, concrete work, earthworks, etc., would be a clear advantage.
Experience using Microsoft tools and ideally a user of Procore Construction Software for Project Management.
NZ Trade Qualification in Carpentry preferred.
Knowledge of engineering drawings, sizing, components, structure requirements, reading, and working to plans.
New Zealand driver's license, ideally with Class 2.
Site Safe Certificate and First Aid Certificate are desirable.
Understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, and experience in implementing it in the workplace.
