We are seeking a 'mobile' Site Manager who is happy to stay away during the week and run jobs around the regions for this prominent commercial contractor. They are a leading commercial contractor with several divisions and have a strong reputation and a good pipeline of work from an expanding client base.
This role is looking after secure repeat clients on negotiated projects across NZ.
Operating across commercial fit outs, extensions, and refurbishments, with exposure to a diverse range of projects and the ability to tackle a variety of techniques and display strong communication. As Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team and driving the program and all delivery aspects on your allocated project.
This role will see you responsible for the onsite management and delivery of your projects. You will be reporting on current projects and using your strong work ethic and relationship-building skills to establish future opportunities. You will manage the site-based employees along with all subcontractors.
To be successful in this role you will need: Qualified builder with a minimum of 2 years' experience as Site Supervisor, Site Foreman, or Site Manager for a commercial contractor. Residential with some light commercial is also good.
A history of undergoing fitout projects of at least $500K + in value desirable.
Experience working for an interiors business or 2nd tier building companies on fitout projects.
Effective and efficient communication skills.
Flexible with a good attitude and happy to lead by example.
To have initiative and be driven to achieve deadlines and plan well to counter any foreseeable issues on site.
