If it's complex we build it.We have an energetic team that's stacked with talent and a pipeline of projects and prospects that is growing.We are looking for creative people who want to work for a values-driven company, build a great career and deliver projects that shape our communities and improve lives.About The RoleWe have a great opportunity for a Site Manager to join our Wellington team.As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for:Prepare the site logistic plan including site amenities, housing, entry/exit traffic management, cranage, hoisting, security, and waste management.Undertake any nominated items on the role and responsibilities matrix issued by the Project Manager.Ensure the effective, efficient and successful execution of delegated construction projects in line with Built Environs policies and procedures and as directed by the Project Manager, with particular responsibility for:Ensure that subcontractors complete their work in accordance with the scope of work and programme provided by the Project Manager.Obtain and review SWMS (safe work method statements) from subcontractors before they commence on site.Perform regular inspections on subcontractors work ensuring the work conforms to the specification, drawings and QA check sheets.Coordinate storage of Built Environs and subcontractors goods and materials.Establish and maintain a total understanding of the requirements of all drawings and specifications including specialist trade contractor/supplier shop drawings.Together with the Project Coordinator ensure that the QA plan is implemented and monitored during the duration of the project.Assist in the overall project management by constant review of construction methods and site performance and coordination of trade contractors against planned activities and programmes.Prepare and update a look ahead programme including procurement schedules and communicate with the project team and subcontractors.Maintain the daily Site Managers diary including input from the project team.Ensure all work is performed in compliance with the WHS Act, AHS Regulations, EPA Act and all Codes of Practice. Promote total job safety and environmental awareness by employees, subcontractors and all persons in the job vicinity and ensure that safe and environmentally acceptable working methods and practices are implemented.Assist the Project Manager with contractor claims, site cost management and identify opportunities to reduce project costs.About YouTo be successful in this role you will have:Minimum 7 years' experience managing commercial type projects.Relevant qualifications with broad knowledge of entire industry and process in order to relate to/with consultants, estimators, contract administrators, legal, councils and government, specialist contractors, union officials.Ability to identify risks and opportunities and human and technical resource needs for each project.Have a strong commitment to 'Home Without Harm.'Be passionate about organisational values of safety & care, honesty & integrity, customer focus, teamwork and performance excellence.If you are passionate about delivering design and building excellence, this is your opportunity to join a dynamic company, dedicated to providing talented professionals with the opportunity to develop their careers in a positive and rewarding cultural environment.Built Environs is committed to providing Equal Employment Opportunities and invites applications from all nationalities, genders, and cultural backgrounds.
