An opportunity has arisen in Warehousing and Distribution for an experienced site manager in Mt Wellington. You would be responsible for effectively managing all aspects of the warehousing operations, reporting to the NZ Operations Manager. The site has a capacity of approximately 10,000 pallets, including dangerous goods, food grade and non-hazardous products. They are a diversified industrial group of companies, offering end-to-end supply chain services, including chemical and industrial formulation and manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, waste management, and environmental solutions.Your new roleLeading the effective allocation and utilisation of people and equipment resources across the warehouse, and customer service functions, to facilitate the achievement of customer requirements and related key performance indicators (KPIs)Ensuring procedures, processes, and practices are performed in accordance with DGL QMSEnsuring that site and staff hold current necessary licences, certificates of competency as per legislative and company requirements.Managing the performance of direct reports and their teams against business objectives and KPIsManaging site operations in accordance with Major Hazard Facility (MHF) requirementsDaily and weekly review of revenue and costs reports including the identification of any discrepancies for actionEnsuring conformance to contractual agreements with customers and contractorsMaximising the efficiency and productivity of the site by identifying, evaluating and implementing continuous improvement opportunities to improve efficiencyEnsuring conformance to inspections, maintenance, and servicing as per the QMSEnsuring site Emergency Response Plan (ERP) is adhered to and participating as a senior leader in the ERP.Ensuring compliance with ISO requirements as per the QMSEnsure all WH&S policies and applicable Company policies and procedures are communicated and adhered toWhat you'll need to succeedAt least 3 years' experience in a similar role, with a focus on warehousing operations and MHF compliance requirementsFamiliar with the legal compliance requirements of NZ Warehousing - including knowledge of NZ Dangerous Goods requirements and MHF requirementsDemonstrated ability to maintain financial objectives, including frequent P&L reporting and corrective actions to ensure P&L objectives are metDemonstrated ability to manage resources to ensure efficient and effective outcomes.Demonstrated leadership of a team to deliver business outcomesExperience in the provision of third-party logistics (3PL) to the chemical industryProven ability to meet deadlines, achieve performance and productivity targets.Ability to comply with Company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.What you'll get in returnMonday - Friday work - roughly 7:30-5:30pmStart Date in JanuaryGreat team culture with career progressionOversee a team of 20 people and reporting to the operations managerWhat you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV to mailto:******, or call/txt me on 0211957149.You must have full working rights in NZ to apply, and due to the number of applicants, only successful candidates will be contacted.
