Partnering with global brands to local dairy producers, we integrate supply chain efficiencies and sustainable practices into everything we design and manufacture.Due to an internal promotion, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Manager to join our PACT Steel - Avondale team.Job DescriptionAbout the Role:This Position reports to the Operations Manager and holds a key stake in the site management team. You will work as part of the operational team to achieve the highest performance levels concerning customer service, product quality, efficiency, innovation, safety and environment and be the team champion for reliability and technical skills.Your key responsibilities will be to:Actively work alongside the team to ensure machinery performs optimally. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, making necessary adjustments for efficiency.Set an example by demonstrating leadership consistent with manufacturing best practices. Drive improvements across the site, focusing on processes, reliability, and efficiency.Hands-on involvement in upgrading equipment and essential services. Balance reliability and efficiency while managing costs.To provide expert advice in the evaluation of maintenance and engineering data to improve asset reliability and maintainability by using established manufacturing philosophies.Collaborate with team members and external partners to enhance capabilities and ensure reliable throughput.Holding the Health & Safety of people and Quality of what we do at the forefront of all site operations.All activities documented for future completeness and all improvement opportunities followed through.About You:To be successful in this role, you will need the following essential skills & experience:Prior experience in a maintenance or engineering role, preferably in Reliability Engineering within an FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) manufacturing environment.A technical maintenance skill gained from working in a manufacturing setting.Understanding of tooling and material handling processes.A strong knowledge of hydraulic systems and the ability to troubleshoot faults.Experience handling the successful implementation and ongoing use of MEX for maintenance management.Experience in leadership and people management, with demonstrable engagement and influencing skills.Ability to adapt to change, resilience, and skill in navigating through organizational shifts.
