As an organisation, we are passionate about evolving and learning new ways of building in New Zealand.Despite our diversity and business breadth, we are small enough for each person to make a difference through our values – totally committed, 100% professional, we care, and open communication.The role function:The Foreman contributes to the successful delivery of construction projects by overseeing the build teams' adherence to H & S standards and ensuring quality workmanship and teamwork on all builds. Additionally, the Foreman provides guidance to and development of individual skill sets from experienced carpenters to apprentices and supports the Site and Project Manager in their respective roles.In this role you will:Manage, control and oversee on-site labour, labour-only contractors, and agency labour working to labour targets.Ensure all Health and Safety requirements are met (site, administrative, and reporting).Establish and maintain excellent internal and external customer service throughout the entire construction process.Ensure trades and materials are coordinated safely and efficiently and be the point of contact.Ensure programme works in conjunction with the Project Manager and be responsible for meeting the programme.Oversee quality control and complete audits as required and follow through the rectification of defective works.Liaise with local authorities, schedule inspections, attend all inspections, and action any non-compliances.Keep the site clean and professional at all times.Communicate effectively with PMs, Architects, Engineers, and build representatives.Motivate and guide others ensuring build standards are met.Support the Project Manager on-site with scheduling, meetings, communications, and inspections.About you – you will have:Proven track record in construction.NZ Trade Qualified with a current LBP.A current NZ Driver's License.Intermediate level of computer literacy and open to learning new systems.Experience in leading and inspiring a team.Excellent planning and organising skills.The ability to see your team as an extension of your own success, bringing the team together to work through any on-site challenges.Great communication and interpersonal skills.Resilience under pressure.We can offer:Busy days with variety, challenge, and purpose.Competitive remuneration.Supportive and collaborative work environment.Company-wide 'Wellness programme' including EAP.Opportunity to be part of a growing company with a commitment to environmental sustainability.If you are looking for an exciting new challenge and can maintain a high level of motivation for daily work demands and have a sense of humour, then we invite you to apply online.
