About the Role: As a Site Engineer, you will be the essential link between Project Managers and Operations Supervisors/teams to ensure smooth and efficient project delivery. The Site Engineer is required to learn and apply technical knowledge of civil construction to ensure the execution of projects is in accordance with applicable contracts, specifications, standards and instructions. You will also have the ability to read and understand engineering drawings, carry out quantity take-offs, procure materials and communicate technical details to teams. Responsibilities include: Work across a range of civil projects, ensure client requirements are understood and delivered.Translate technical specifications into workable solutions for the Operations Manager to implement. Organise site set up, quality control and health and safety compliance.Provide ongoing support to the Operations Supervisors and Project managers.A focus on quality and timely delivery.What you'll bring: A tertiary level qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent) with sound knowledge of New Zealand standards is preferable.Minimum 3 years' experience in managing civil construction projects.Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to work effectively with staff and stakeholdersA value-driven mindset focused on integrity, strong relationships and outcome-focused results.A thorough understanding of health and safety management practices for construction sites.Why Join Currie Construction?
