The opportunity
Graduate Engineers - Learn the intricacy's of vertical design and build projects and build the future of construction in New Zealand.
Based in our Wellington office, the successful candidate will work with our project teams and be involved in construction projects that cover a broad range of build sectors including commercial, healthcare, education, and retail.
To be considered for this opportunity any candidate must have a genuine interest in construction and be committed to forging a successful career within this field. Candidates should hold a construction engineering qualification or be working towards one.
Our Cadet Programme is an exceptional opportunity for graduates to gain practical hands-on exposure with an industry leader. Naylor Love is committed to the development of its people, and this structured learning programme will give the successful candidate the opportunity to work across all facets of construction to gain valuable exposure and knowledge across the full life cycle of projects from tender stage through to completion, while completing our much sought-after Cadetship programme.
A Site Engineer Cadet
As a Site Engineer Cadet, you will be mentored under the direction of an experienced Site Engineer. By undertaking assigned projects, you will learn the methodology and programme performance standards on live projects. You will continually maintain familiarity with the construction drawings and ensure that the structural and architectural shop drawings are also consistent with the current design and specifications. This role would suit individuals who wish to experience current construction techniques in action within a supportive team-based environment.
Key qualities required:

A high level of attention to detail
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Show initiative in handling and prioritising tasks and solving problems
Work within and contribute to a team environment
The ability to multitask efficiently
