This is a fantastic opportunity to join a family-owned business that looks after its people and has ambitious plans for growth through innovation and creative ideas.Quantum is increasingly recognized amongst architects, designers, and the building sector as a solution focused supplier of tiles, stone, and cork as we continue to partner with them for successful and reliable on-trend project outcomes.We are seeking a showroom consultant based from our Palmerston North Design Studio.To us you are not just an individual, but a passionate force of nature – someone driven, self-motivated and have an unwavering love for architecture and/or interior design (you also love having a good laugh!).You will have a supporting role in our sales force, align with our core values, nurture deep care for clients and colleagues, and contribute to our vibrant and grounded culture.Key Responsibilities:Assist both retail and trade (designers, builders etc) clients in the selection of creative and functional products every day.Demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a desire for successful project outcomes every day.Welcome and engage with all visitors to the showroom, ensuring you fully understand their needs.Maintain your pipeline of sales, converting them into project opportunities and sales from your contacts.Attend weekly sales meetings, providing and presenting relevant / required data.Continuously network to expand your understanding of individuals and procedures within the design and construction sectors.Maintain a well-presented showroom, ensuring products are displayed correctly, reordering samples, and restocking all supplies.Attributes Required:Energy - high velocity, determined and focused. A positive, "can do" attitude as you walk through the door each day.Thirst for learning - have a continuous improvement mindset.Creativity - ability to think quickly and outside of the box to deliver solutions that exceed the client expectation.Efficiency - strong disciplined sales process and follow up.Be resilient and solution focused.Be flexible, willing to help the team when necessary and open to change.Be self-motivated and manage their own time effectively every day.Hours are flexible (Monday to Friday). Working hours will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
