As we transition to a contractor-based installation model, we are seeking a dedicated Site Manager to oversee the daily operations of our installation sites, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency in the Canterbury region.Position Summary: The Site Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management and installations on project sites, overseeing contractors, ensuring quality assurance, and maintaining site safety.
In addition to supervisory responsibilities, the Site Manager will also be required to install showers alongside contractors to ensure timely and high-quality project completion.
This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
The Site Manager will work closely with Project Managers to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to Newline Group's high standards.Key Responsibilities:Installation of acrylic showers and 10mm frameless showersParticipate in the installation of showers, working alongside contractors to ensure high-quality and efficient installations.Provide technical guidance and support to contractors during installationsSite Management:Oversee the daily operations of installation sites, ensuring work is carried out according to project plans and schedules.Coordinate and manage the activities of contractors on-site, ensuring they adhere to project specifications and timelines.Monitor site progress and address any issues or delays promptly.Quality Assurance:Conduct regular inspections to ensure all installations meet Newline Group's quality standards and comply with relevant building codes and regulations.Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure consistency and excellence in installations.Address and resolve any quality-related issues promptly and effectively.Health and Safety:Ensure all site activities comply with health and safety regulations and company policies.Conduct regular safety audits and inspections, and implement corrective actions as needed.Promote a culture of safety on-site, providing training and support to contractors as necessary.Contractor Management:Manage contractor + labourer operations onsite, providing clear instructions and support to ensure high performance.Evaluate contractor performance and provide feedback to the Project Manager to ensure continuous improvement.Coordination and Communication:Liaise with Project Managers to provide regular updates on site progress, issues, and any deviations from the project plan.Maintain effective communication with clients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all site activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and incident reports.Qualifications:Proven experience as a Site Manager or in a similar role within the construction or home building industry.Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and industry best practices.Excellent leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and contractors simultaneously.Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Proficiency in construction management software and tools.Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various project sites as required.Preferred Qualifications:Health and Safety certification or relevant training.Experience in managing contractor-based projects.Familiarity with shower installation processes and products.Working Conditions:Primarily on-site work with travel to various locations across New Zealand.Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours as needed to meet project deadlines.Report this job advert Don't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
