Otago community hospice is seeking a shop supervisor to join their team in Dunedin, New Zealand . The role supports the hospice shop manager (HSM) with overall shop performance to achieve turnover and surplus objectives. The ideal candidate will have the ability to generate income that contributes to the running costs of the Otago community hospice, allowing services to be provided free of charge to patients and families. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $54,236 – $55,863 per year. The candidate must be able to work 8 hours per week within the hospital. Qualifications for Shop Supervisor: Bachelor's degree in business administration and financial management. Support the shop surplus objectives in collaboration with the hospice shop manager (HSM). Promote awareness of hospice care in the community and foster positive public relations. Responsibilities for Shop Supervisor: Provide excellent customer service. Supervise the sorting and pricing of items for sale, delegating and training others. Ensure that donated goods are clean, well presented, and priced accordingly to maximize their potential returns. Support the hospice shop manager with arranging the collection of donated goods. Skills: Ability to seek professional knowledge and skills. Innovative, self-motivated, and empathic. Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to engage with patients and their families.
