Management (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)
Regal Holdings Ltd are looking for an experienced Shipping Manager based in either the Waikato or the Bay of Plenty.
You will be responsible for:
In conjunction with the bulk store manager, managing and coordinating the safe and efficient discharge of bulk product from each ship to the nominated bulk store, optimising the weight of product transported per load, the route used and timeframes to do so.
Executing the planned stock transfer orders by communicating effectively with the transport manager, nominated shipping coordinator, drivers, customers, and subcontractors to ensure each discharge is executed as per customers' requirements.
Ensuring all drivers operate within the relevant laws and regulations e.g. logbooks, Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), HPMV (permits, MPI and Road User Charges (RUC).
Ideally you will have:
Minimum 3 years' experience in planning and scheduling within a transport and/or shipping logistics environment.
A high level of accuracy, ability to prioritise and work to strict deadlines.
Experience with internal technology systems, Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.
Able to analyse data and prepare reports reflecting findings and advise on strategic direction.
Class 1 Driver's Licence (current).
Clear understanding of the transport, shipping and overall logistics sector.
Experience in a customer service role.
Sound geographical knowledge of New Zealand.
