Shift Supervisor - Food Manufacturing

Team Leaders/Supervisors (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)
Work for one of New Zealand's industry leaders and local manufacturer of food ingredients to major brands in NZ and overseas. Based in the beautiful Mount Maunganui, they are setting the standard in excellence for food product manufacturing.
About the role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to have a hands-on role where you can lead and develop a team of 12 operators in the Finish Hall. This role will be key to fostering the development of a proactive culture where people take pride and responsibility for what they do.
Key responsibilities:
Provide effective leadership, coordination, and training to the team of employees, promoting a continuous improvement culture.
Ensure all Food Safety and QA requirements are being adhered to.
Proactively solve challenges and adapt to changing situations.
Ensure high quality product is produced and continually identify areas for continuous improvement.
Evaluate performance, and identify development opportunities for staff.
Handle numerous tasks including payroll approvals, absenteeism, and disciplinary issues.
About you:
The ideal candidate would have:
Previous experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment.
A strong passion for developing themselves and their team.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Understanding of quality standards and health and safety regulations.
