Shift Manager

HARVEY FOODWORKS LIMITED, Trading as Pita-Pit Gisborne We are looking for Shift Managers, Full Time Role- 30 to 40 Hours per week.
As a Shift Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations during your assigned shifts, leading a team  to success.
This is a full-time role with guaranteed minimum 30 hours of work per week.
Key Responsibilities: Ensure the restaurant opens and closes on schedule.
Promote and sell goods and services.
Order and manage inventory to maintain sufficient supplies according to the budget Maintain profitability by controlling costs.
Plan special events, catering and promotions.
Maintain high food safety standards, ensure equipment is functional, and schedule regular maintenance.
Oversee cash handling, Including dally counts, deposits, and discrepancy resolution.
Ensure all food products meet Pita Pit's quality standards.
Address and resolve customer complaints and issues professionally.
Oversee marketing initiatives to attract customers.
Involved in recruiting, hiring, and training new employees.
Create and manage employee schedules for adequate staffing.
Ensure compliance with city council, NSF and health and safety regulations.
Identify and address operational challenges proactively.
Involved in reviewing policies and procedures to enhance customer relations and service delivery.
Role Requirements: Relevant Tertiary qualifcation in management Relevant industry experience is preferred however notessential.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectivelydelegate tasks and provide guidance to team members.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
