Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer with a passion for improving production efficiency and ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing equipment? Do you have a keen eye for detail and a desire to work in the fast-paced and dynamic environment of infant formula production?
The modern infant formula blending and packing plant is conveniently located in Mangere. This is a day shift role (5:45 AM – 6:00 PM) – 2 days on, 2 days off, then 3 days on. You'll also have every 2nd weekend off meaning you only work 7 days a fortnight BUT there is also the opportunity for overtime if you're looking for extra earnings. *Night shift is also available.*
Key Responsibilities:
Conducting routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
Working with the production team to identify and resolve equipment issues quickly and efficiently, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
Participating in equipment installation, commissioning, and modification projects, ensuring that equipment is installed and commissioned to meet safety and quality standards.
Developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, maintenance logs, and inventory records.
Ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations and company policies.
Qualifications and Skills:
Trade Certified Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
At least 3-5 years of experience in a maintenance engineering role in a manufacturing environment ideally in Dairy/Food/Beverage.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of safety, health, and environmental regulations.
