Job Description The Role We have an exciting opportunity for a Shift Leader to join our established warehouse team on a permanent basis.
We're seeking a motivated and experienced leader who has a passion for mentoring others and thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
The main responsibilities of this role include: Supervise and motivate the warehouse teams, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure high performance and job satisfaction.
Oversee daily warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfilment, and shipping/receiving activities to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Identify areas for improvement in warehouse processes and implement best practices to enhance productivity and reduce errors.
Ensure that the operations team has a solid training and performance plan to set them up for success.
Coaching of operators to ensure knowledge in all warehouse tasks.
Manage staff leave, covers, overtime, and roster changes.
Ensure the warehouse and equipment are maintained.
Skills And Experience To be considered for this role will require: Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
Strong organizational abilities with a focus on optimizing workflow and efficiency.
Ability to think critically and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and standard warehouse equipment.
In-depth understanding of safety protocols and best practices in a warehouse setting.
