As our current Manager prepares to retire, we are seeking a dynamic and motivated leader to manage our Palmerston North SESTA (Specialised School Transport Assistance) operation starting January 2025.
SESTA is a highly rewarding and community service that we provide for the Ministry of Education, ensuring the safe transport of over 200 students daily from their front door to school and home again.
Located at our centrally situated Palmerston North branch, you will collaborate closely with our drivers, schools, parents, and the Ministry to deliver exceptional service to our local communities.
The role: Be the management hub of our SESTA operation overseeing our services in Palmerston North, Fielding, and Whanganui.Managing and supporting your team of SESTA drivers.Planning, rostering, and implementing runs to ensure optimum use of resources.Administrative support and payroll duties (timesheets).Driver recruitment.Regular performance monitoring of drivers & vehicles.Ensuring overall compliance and adherence to legal requirements and contractual agreements.About you: Proven experience in a leadership role.Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.A drive for delivering a high level of customer service and safe specialised transport.Excellent problem-solving abilities.Tech-savvy with a willingness to adapt to new systems.Full NZ Driver's License (Passenger Endorsement required but we can assist in obtaining this).What can we offer?
