Session Facilitator – Naenae Playcentre

We're seeking a vibrant, motivated, creative, and passionate educator with a sparkling personality to join our well-resourced centreto support our tamariki, parents and whanau in facilitating child led play.

You will work alongside ourCentre whanauto open the sessions and guide activities, facilitate learning for our members and tamariki while role modelling child led play and positive guidance.

To support whanau in the use of Te Reo Maori,encourage participation in the Playcentre Education programme to increase qualification levels at our centre, and demonstrate the benefits of participating to whanau.

Let your inner author shine writing stories highlighting tamariki achievements, developments, learning and wonders while supporting whanau with exploring their light bulb moments.

We are all about mentoring and supporting parents/ whanau /members/tamariki as they explore and learn with their children during these very special years.

Location: Naenae Playcentre

Days & hours: Thursday's 9.00am – 12.00pm (3 hours per week). This is a permanent position during term time only.

The ideal candidate will: Hold a Playcentre Course 3 qualification or higher or an Early Childhood qualification of Level 4 orhigher Hold a current First Aid Certificate or be willing to achieve this. Please contact us if you have queries about your qualifications in relation to this role.

Desirable skills and experience will include: Knowledge and understanding of Te Whariki and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi A passion for Playcentre and our philosophy Strong interpersonal and communication skills with tamariki and adults Passion for empowering and engaging with all whanau to feel a sense of belonging on our sessions.
