Session Facilitator – Mangapapa Playcentre

We're seeking a vibrant, motivated, creative, and passionate educator with a sparkling personality to join our well-resourced centre to support our tamariki, parents, and whanau in facilitating child-led play.

You will role model by working alongside our centre whanau to open the sessions, guide activities while facilitating learning for our members and tamariki through child-led play and positive guidance.
To support whanau in the use of Te Reo Maori, encourage participation in the Playcentre Education programme to increase qualification levels at our centre, and demonstrate the benefits of participating to whanau.
Let your inner author shine writing learning stories highlighting tamariki achievements, developments, learning, and wonders while supporting whanau with them exploring their light bulb moments.
We are all about mentoring and supporting parents/whanau/members/tamariki as they explore and learn with their children during these very special years.

Location:Mangapapa Playcentre, 351b Ormond Road, Riverdale, Gisborne 4010
Days & hours:Permanent; 2 days a week Monday and Friday 9.00am - 12.30pm, 7 hours p/w (during term time only)
Minimum requirements:Hold a Playcentre Course 3 qualification or higher or an Early Childhood qualification of Level 4 or higher.Hold a current First Aid Certificate or be willing to achieve this.
