Early learning / kohanga reo, Certificated teacherBelonging / Mana Whenua, Contribution / Mana Tangata, Communication / Mana Reo, Exploration / Mana Aoturoa, Well-being / Mana AtuaWe're seeking a vibrant, motivated, creative, and passionate educator with a sparkling personality to join our well-resourced centre to support our tamariki, parents and whanau in facilitating child-led play.You will work alongside curCentre whanau to open the sessions and guide activities, facilitate learning for our members and tamariki while role modelling child-led play and positive guidance.To support whanau in the use of Te Reo Maori, encourage participation in the Playcentre Education programme to increase qualification levels at our centre, and demonstrate the benefits of participating to whanau.Let your inner author shine writing learning stories highlighting tamariki achievements, developments, learning, and wonders while supporting whanau with exploring their light bulb moments.We are all about mentoring and supporting parents/whanau/members/tamariki as they explore and learn with their children during these very special years.Start date: 27 January 2025Days & hours: Monday, Wednesday & Friday 8.30am–2pm. This is a Permanent position during term time only with possible room to add additional morning.We will be reviewing applications upon receipt.The ideal candidate will:Hold a Playcentre Course 3 qualification or higher or an Early Childhood qualification of Level 4 or higher.Hold a current First Aid Certificate or be willing to achieve this.Desirable skills and experience will include:Knowledge and understanding of Te Whariki and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.A passion for Playcentre and our philosophy.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with tamariki and adults.Passion for empowering and engaging with all whanau to feel a sense of belonging in our sessions.Knowledge of ECE regulations.Ability to use technology.Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.How to applyFor further information, a position description, or to apply for this role with your CV and Cover Letter, please contact ****** using "LSI SF Macandrew Bay" in the subject line.Type: PlaycentreMaximum licensed places: 19
