Early learning / kohanga reo, Certificated teacherBelonging / Mana Whenua, Contribution / Mana Tangata, Communication / Mana Reo, Exploration / Mana Aoturoa, Well-being / Mana AtuaWe're seeking a vibrant, motivated, creative, and passionate educator with a sparkling personality to join our well-resourced centre to support our tamariki, parents and whanau in facilitating child-led play.You will role model by working alongside our centre whanau to open the sessions, guide activities while facilitating learning for our members and tamariki through child-led play and positive guidance.To support whanau in the use of te reo Maori, encourage participation in the playcentre education programme to increase qualification levels at our centre, and demonstrate the benefits of participating to whanau.Let your inner author shine writing learning stories highlighting tamariki achievements, developments, learning and wonders while supporting whanau with them exploring their light bulb moments.We are all about mentoring and supporting parents/whanau/members/tamariki as they explore and learn with their children during these very special years.Days & hours: Permanent; 2 days a week Monday and Friday 9am–12.30pm, 7 hours p/w (during term time only).The ideal candidate will need to have the following:Hold a Playcentre Course 3 qualification or higher or an early childhood qualification of Level 4 or higher.Hold a current first aid certificate or be willing to achieve this.Desirable skills and experience will include:Knowledge and understanding of Te Whariki and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.A passion for playcentre and our philosophy.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with tamariki and adults.Passion for empowering and engaging with all whanau to feel a sense of belonging in our sessions.Knowledge of ECE regulations.Ability to use technology.Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.How to applyFor further information, a position description or to apply for this role with your CV and cover letter, please email using "CNI SF Mangapapa" in the subject line.Type: PlaycentreMaximum licenced places: 25Physical address:351 Ormond Road, Mangapapa, Gisborne
