Session Facilitator

Session Facilitator Location: Matawai Playcentre, 29 Raumati Street Matawai, Gisborne Type: Part time, Permanent, FTTE up to: 0.1 Start date: 15th October 2024 – As soon as possible Days & hours: 2 days a week (Tuesday and Thursday, negotiable for the right candidate), 9.15am–12.15pm, 6 hours p/w (during term time only) We're seeking a vibrant, motivated, creative, and passionate educator with a sparkling personality to join our well-resourced centre to support our tamariki, parents, and whanau in facilitating child-led play. You will role model by working alongside our centre whanau to open the sessions, guide activities while facilitating learning for our members and tamariki through child-led play and positive guidance. The ideal candidate will need to have the following: Hold a Playcentre Course 3 qualification or higher or an Early Childhood qualification of Level 4 or higher. Hold a current First Aid Certificate or be willing to achieve this. Desirable skills and experience will include: Knowledge and understanding of Te Whariki and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi. A passion for Playcentre and our philosophy. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with tamariki and adults. Passion for empowering and engaging with all whanau to feel a sense of belonging in our sessions. Knowledge of ECE regulations. Ability to use technology.
