Chemical Solutions Limited (CSL) is a multi-sector chemical cleaning and specialty product manufacturer, with Kemsol being one of our flagship brands. CSL is proudly NZ owned and operated, with roots firmly fixed on a kiwi-can-do approach and genuine passion for innovation and creativity.
From humble beginnings, we now have over thirty years' experience manufacturing quality chemicals for a cleaner environment. We have a national sales & distribution team supporting our longstanding distributors, and we also export to a number of countries. What sets us apart? High quality, functional products and an absolute focus on customer service, coupled with a genuine belief that people are the company's most important asset. The business has grown substantially in terms of customer base and profitability, but the core values remain unchanged.
An opportunity has arisen for a dual role as a Service Technician and warehouse Store Person, with the potential for the service aspect to become the full-time role. The role involves all round duties in the warehouse, as well as increasingly focusing on providing regular servicing and installations for our customers across the South Island region. The role will typically include monthly travel to the main centres, along with the greater Canterbury region for the servicing component of the role.
The role involves: -
• Assisting in the warehouse with unloading and storing inwards goods, picking and packing, despatch and general warehouse duties
• Providing service support functions to customers including chemical testing of various areas within the customers operations, writing reports and logging job activities and costs filed in a CRM system, testing of dispensing equipment, monitoring chemical usage, ensuring standard operating procedures are in place, etc
• Providing a regular service call cycle to predetermined commercial end user customers
• Assisting the Account Managers with the installation of dosing equipment setups
• Working closely with the Account Managers to assist with other areas as required in providing customer centric solutions
• Building positive relationships with customers in the territory call cycle whilst demonstrating the company's values in all interactions
Experience in the chemical industry is desirable for this role. Food process, food service, laundry or similar knowledge or experience would be a definite advantage.
The ideal candidate would either be an experienced Store Person who wants to develop into a wider role with training, or a Service Technician who was keen to have the warehouse component in their role for added interest. This role could also lead to further career development opportunities within the business down the track if this is of interest to the candidate.
What else is required?
As well as the above, this role requires:

• Exceptional organisation, planning and time management skills with the ability to plan days/weeks/months in advance to maximise efficiency
