Job DescriptionWe are currently looking for a full-time Service Technician to join our friendly team at Palmerston North!Tasks & Responsibilities:Service and Repair ICT Products:Install, configure, and maintain software and hardware for workstations, laptops, phones, and tablets.Diagnose, repair, and replace faulty equipment including workstations, laptops, phones, and other peripherals.Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues, including performing component replacements, storage, and RAM upgrades for laptops and desktops.Provide on-site service to resolve network issues and other complex technical problems.Repair and Maintenance of Specialized Equipment:Service and repair electric scooters, ensuring optimal performance and safety.Diagnose and resolve issues with 3D printers, including calibration and maintenance.Implement a comprehensive maintenance program focused on safety and reliability.RMA Management:Handle RMA processes including the return, repair, and replacement of defective products.Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers for efficient resolution of RMA requests.Maintain accurate records of RMA transactions and updates.Customer Service:Assist customers with booking service jobs, providing quotes, and resolving queries.Offer support and information to ensure a high-quality, customer-focused service experience.RequirementsQualification in IT, Electronics, or Computer Studies is preferred.Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience in technical support, repair, or a similar role.Strong technical skills with proficiency in Microsoft, Apple, Android, computer networking, and assembly/repair of computers and smart devices.Basic electrical knowledge and experience in repairing electric scooters and 3D printers is required.Full driver's license to perform on-site service calls and transport equipment as needed.Familiarity with RMA processes and procedures.Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.Ability to provide technical support and collaborate with team members to solve complex problems.Start DateASAPPB Tech is an equal opportunity employer.
