Service Technician / Machinist

A machinist based role that is a mixture of machining work and general service work. Based in the Christchurch workshop and reporting to the Service Manager. What is the position? What skills and qualifications do you need?
Proven, significant experience with the manual lathe and milling.
The relevant trade qualification
Welding experience is an advantage.
Experience with hydraulics is a big advantage
What kind of personality traits do you need?
A strong mechanical mindset
The ability to work well both independently and with others.
Attention to detail, accuracy in your work
Be able to complete work in a timely manner
What are some of the tasks and responsibilities?
Responsibility of a job from start to finish
Cylinder repairs and manufacture
Manufacture of one off components
General service and repair work
Power pack manufacture
