Service Technician

Our client is looking for a hands-on, mechanically skilled individual to join their team as a Machine Fitter/Service Technician. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands and has experience with farm equipment, machinery, or similar areas. If you've worked on tractors, bikes, cars, or other machines, this job will provide you with valuable experience and the chance to earn a milking systems qualification.

Key Responsibilities: Install and maintain milking machines and equipment on farms.Test and troubleshoot milking machines (training provided).Other tasks may include welding, fabrication, machining, assembly, and basic electrical work (no qualifications required).Hours of Work: Regular hours: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.Flexibility for early starts or late finishes to match milking schedules and seasonal changes.After-hours and weekend work on a rotating roster (around every 6-8 weeks).Occasional travel for out-of-town work, with overnight stays.This role is based in Rangiora, so you'll need reliable transportation. The pay rate for this role is $25 per hour. Candidates must be located locally and have full-time work eligibility in New Zealand.
