Due to further business growth, we have an opportunity for a Service Technician to become a part of our team in Auckland working on Medical Equipment.

About the role:
Reporting to the Service Team Leader, the main responsibilities of the position are maintaining, repairing, installation and commissioning medical equipment used for disinfection and sterilisation of medical instruments. The successful candidate will possess maintenance and repair experience with good mechanical & electrical knowledge. Customer relationships are an important part of this role, and you will need to have a strong customer service focus.
The role will involve extensive travel and is part of the North Island regional team. The travel component of the role is on-demand supporting our customers from Whangarei, Hamilton, Tauranga, Whakatane, Rotorua, Taupo and New Plymouth. This role may require travel to other NZ areas including the occasional overnight stay.
Essential requirements:

EST electrical practicing license
Mechanical or Electrical trade qualifications
Good fault-finding skills
Proven mechanical skills
Must be self-directed and have excellent organisational skills
Responsibility to service and repair all equipment in a timely manner ensuring customer satisfaction
A positive "can do" attitude with great communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to build and maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders
The ability to work autonomously, and as part of a team
A clear understanding of what it means to "own the outcome"
Immediate NZ work rights
Clean and full NZ driver license

Preferably you will have:

Previous experience as a field service engineer or technician, especially in the medical area
Technical troubleshooting background ideally both electrical and mechanical side
Validation experience and report writing
