About the Role We are looking for a Service Technician to join our Waste Management Technical Services team based in East Tamaki.
In this role, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and cleaning parts-washer machines, workshop collections, industrial collections, and allied product sales at customer premises.
We predominantly work Monday to Friday (some limited Saturday work required) which enables you to have weekends to yourself.
Job Description Key responsibilities will include Inspecting, cleaning, and servicing equipment in accordance with customer's satisfaction and noting any maintenance requirements Collecting, recording, and storing waste and chemicals Transporting of wastes to comply with Dangerous Goods regulations.
Required to be available for out of town and overnight run on a weekly basis.
Qualifications To be successful in this role you need to have A valid NZ Class 2 Licence with relevant driving experience.
At least one year driving Class 2 trucks.
Possess proven customer service skills Demonstrate self-motivation, attention to detail, and strong time management skills.
Excellent communication skills with a great customer service approach and a 'can do' attitude is a must.
A dangerous goods endorsement is desirable but not essential.
You will need to be physically fit and can work both autonomously and as part of a team.
Full training will be provided.
