Service Owner-Events, Testing, Application Support at Inland Revenue Te Tari Taake, Wellington - Wairarapa We've an exciting opportunity in CCS Planning Design and Delivery - Design Support where we are looking for a new Service Owner (L1) to lead and deliver our service offerings for Events & Channel Management, Testing and Application Support. Mo te roopu - About the Customer and Compliance Service - Planning Design and Delivery Team CCS-PDD) Planning Design and Delivery (PDD) is a shared centralised service. Our purpose is to optimise business outcomes, customer experience and the effectiveness and efficiency of Inland Revenue's operations. We work alongside our business partners in Customer and Compliance Services (CCS), and across IR, to understand our work and change program and be able to support consistent planning and prioritisation of our work. We manage the design and implementations of all changes to IR's core tax and social policy systems and related business processes. Mo te tunga - About the role Our Service Owners in CCS PDD each have end-to-end responsibility for a service area and team. They also provide leadership in their wider group. Service Owners bring a strong customer improvement focus and champion IR's customer-centric culture. This role may be based in any IR location within NZ. Here is some more detail about the service area we are seeking a Service Owner for. Events, Testing and Application Support This Service Owner leads a regionally diverse team that provide a range of services for CSS, including: Ensuring key system and business driven events and activities using IR print mail services are carefully planned, integrated, and managed Management of vendors for IR postal services Management, coordination, and delivery for IR testing requirements for IR's tax and social policy system START Management, coordination and delivery of the issue resolution process and practices for IR core tax and social policy system START, across PDD to ensure effective issue resolution Support CCS-PDD's release management approach, including early life support and post release quality assurance activities related to our START system To join our Service Owner team, we're looking for people who: Are highly customer-centric in your approach to providing solutions and outcomes (at a customer lifecycle or segment level) Bring some experience of leading through change and are passionate about supporting people as they learn new and different approaches to their work Have leadership experience, including coaching and developing people to build their capability and deliver better business outcomes Have experience in leading, managing of testing and/or issue resolution Have experience in managing commercial partnerships to deliver service offerings Have good understanding or experience of governance practices and principles Partner well with others to design, deliver and integrate solutions to enhance customer experience and compliance Have a sound understanding of Service Now and JIRA (or similar platforms) preferred Please apply online, attach a copy of your CV and cover letter outlining how you meet the role requirements as outlined here and in the attached role description.
