Nga pukenga me nga wheako | Skills and experience As the Interim Orthopedic Service Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the service delivery of the Orthopaedic Department.
You will be responsible for maintaining and promoting a culture of patient-centred care and collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities: Work in partnership with the Clinical Director to provide leadership to the Orthopaedic service across Waipapa, Burwood, our community and the region.
Collaborate with Orthopaedic surgeons, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement best practices and clinical protocols.
Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Orthopaedic Department Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, driving initiatives to enhance service quality and patient outcomes.
Monitor and evaluate department performance, analysing key metrics and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders both locally, regionally and nationally.
This includes patients, families, staff, and external partners.
Promote a positive and inclusive work environment, nurturing the professional growth and development of team members.
Oversee the implementation of quality and safety standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices and clinical audit.
Manage budgets and resources effectively, contributing to financial sustainability and efficiency.
Lead and support change management initiatives, fostering a culture of adaptability and resilience.
Requirements: Skills and experience; A strong background in healthcare management, preferably with experience in Orthopaedic services.
Proven strong leadership capability, with a track record of successfully managing and developing a complex team.
In-depth knowledge of healthcare operations, quality improvement methodologies, and patient safety principles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across many diverse stakeholders.
Sound financial acumen and experience in budget management.
An understanding of relevant healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
Flexibility and adaptability to navigate and excel in an interim leadership role.
A current clinical qualification in either Nursing or a related field (postgraduate qualifications are desirable).
