Our client, a leader in the New Zealand trucking industry, has expanded to 14 dealerships nationwide and secured an exclusive distribution contract with a leading international truck brand.
They are now seeking a highly skilled Service Manager to lead operations at their busiest branch, where you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the branch's continued success and exceptional customer service.
About the Role
As Service Manager, you'll oversee the daily operations of the service department at this high-performing branch.
You'll lead a team of expert technicians, manage resources, and maintain efficient workflows while upholding a commitment to outstanding service.
This is a dynamic role where you'll drive performance, foster team growth, and implement innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities Manage and coordinate all service department activities to ensure smooth operations.Supervise, mentor, and train technicians and support staff to achieve excellence.Ensure timely, accurate completion of service work with high-quality standards.Address customer concerns promptly and provide regular updates to maintain satisfaction.Monitor and achieve key performance metrics for the service department.Develop and implement effective policies and procedures to enhance efficiency.Manage parts inventory and ordering to support uninterrupted service operations.Oversee warranty claims and service contracts, ensuring accurate documentation.Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.About You Proven experience as a Service Manager or in a similar leadership role in the automotive or trucking industry.Comprehensive knowledge of truck maintenance and repair.Exceptional leadership and team management skills.Strong customer service focus with excellent communication abilities.Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.Proficient in service management software and tools.ASE certification or equivalent is a plus.About the Company
