This role is based at our dealership in sunny Napier, Hawkes Bay. The Service Manager role will see you work Monday to Friday at our Honda, LDV and KGM service department. This role will allow you to demonstrate your excellent communication and prioritisation skills as you work with customers, workshop technicians, service reception and parts staff, distributors, as well as the sales and management team.Your responsibilities will include:Liaising between the Service Front of House and Technicians regarding the priorities and status of workshop jobs to ensure efficiency.Overseeing daily operations of the service department, including scheduling, warranty, parts, staffing, and workflow management.Developing and implementing strategies to optimise service department performance, including sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.Fostering a positive and productive work environment, coaching and developing team members to achieve their full potential.Maintaining high standards of quality and safety in all service activities.Optimising the productivity and efficiency of the Technicians and Apprentices to maximise workshop throughput and profitability.Contributing to high levels of customer satisfaction by ensuring all work is processed through the workshop to meet expectations of timeliness and quality.Skills & ExperienceValid NZ Driver's LicenceProven experience as a Service Manager or similar role in the automotive industry.Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of motivating and developing high-performing teams.Solid understanding of automotive service operations, including technical knowledge of vehicle systems and maintenance procedures.Ability to multi-task & cope under pressure situationsExcellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.Currently living in New Zealand and/or hold a valid work visa (If applicable)Current WOF certificate is highly desirableOur CompanyNotman Motor Group is a privately-owned and operated multi-franchise automotive company and has grown over the years to be one of Hawke's Bay's leading automotive groups.
