Are you passionate about delivering quality IT services and helping people?
We're looking for a proactive, customer-focused Service Desk Technician to join us in supporting Hastings District Council's IT needs. This role is essential in ensuring our Council's IT systems and solutions continue to run smoothly and our users have the support they need, when they need it.
As a Service Desk Technician, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional IT support. Key duties will include troubleshooting & resolving technical issues, fulfilling service requests and configuring, deploying & managing IT assets. You'll be an integral part of our Information Management & Business Transformation (IMBT) team, handling everything from incident management to playing a key role in IMBT projects and promoting best practices in cyber security.

The successful candidate will ideally have:
A recognised industry qualification or relevant industry experience.
Familiarity with Microsoft enterprise environments including Windows operating systems, Active Directory and 365 administration tools.
Strong troubleshooting skills across a variety of hardware & software solutions.
Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a commitment to customer service.
A composed and professional demeanour, with the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
