Our Whangarei branch is seeking a Service Desk Engineer. In this role, you will primarily provide remote (and occasionally onsite) Level 1 technical support for our customers and assist our wider operation where applicable. You will be required to answer incoming Service Desk phone calls, perform triaging, resolve problems, escalate where necessary and participate in our paid on-call roster.
However, this is just the beginning as there is significant potential for growth in various positions such as service management, operations, platform development, or sales across our multiple locations in New Zealand. This presents an excellent opportunity for you to expand your own skills and responsibilities over time.

The successful applicant will be given the opportunity to work with clients of varying scale as well as having the chance to further develop your technical skills and experience and be mentored by seniors and leadership.
The ideal candidate will:
Minimum 12 months' experience in a Service Desk role
Possess a good understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office applications and basic Active Directory and M365 administration
Have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and a pleasant telephone manner, even under pressure
Have strong troubleshooting skills
Be capable of learning quickly, thinking on their feet, and working autonomously, particularly when under pressure
Additionally, the ideal candidate should possess a positive attitude, be dependable, motivated and adaptable.

The salary package offered will be based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
