New World Aokautere is a 100% Kiwi owned and operated store under the Foodstuffs franchise.

We are looking for someone who is ready to hit the ground running in our busy deli department. On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for managing the department, financial KPI's, ordering, back of house paperwork, training team members, and being hands-on in the department alongside our dedicated team.

If you have drive and ambition and possess the following attributes, we would love to hear from you:

Excellent communication skills Computer literate - SAP knowledge preferred Unit standards 167, 168, and 497 preferred Strong planning, organisation, and time management skills Leading and managing a team Customer service skills Proven ability to deal with people of all cultures Be a team player and a problem solver Supermarket or FMCG experience preferred Have health and safety, and food compliance experience Drive and motivation to improve the department and take it to another level This is a fast-paced, busy role in a key department. If you are customer-focused and have an eye for detail, we would like to hear from you. Days and times to be discussed at interview; however, the role will be 5 days and include one weekend day, and deli shifts are 5am - 1pm and 11am - 7pm.
