The Home Support Service Coordinator is responsible for the management and oversight of in-home respite that is delivered both in a person's home and out in the community.
You will have direct responsibility for the hiring, training and ongoing development of the staff that work alongside the people that we support across West Auckland.
You are also required to monitor the health, lifestyle, and behavioural outcomes for people supported by Spectrum Care, and will work with other health professionals to ensure responsive services that are individualised and of a high quality.
Key Responsibilities:Manage in-home respite services.Hire, train, and develop staff.Monitor health and lifestyle outcomes for individuals.Collaborate with health professionals to provide high-quality services.Minimum Requirements:Diploma or Bachelor's in Human Services, or a Bachelor's-level qualification in a relevant area such as health, teaching, psychology, social work, or management.A background working in the health, disability or social services sector and a sound theoretical knowledge of intellectual disability and/or mental health.Demonstrate training, leadership and resource management skills.Experience in managing teams and human services essential.Class 1 Full NZ Drivers License.Experience and qualifications in mental health welcomed.The ability to use a computer effectively, including programs such as Word, Internet Explorer, and email.Spectrum Care offers competitive remuneration, as well as support for ongoing training and education.
