To guide guests through the entire restaurant experience in a luxurious and elegant manner. To assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of quality standards for outlets. The Server is responsible for taking the guest's food and beverage orders, interacting one-on-one with the guests, providing excellent customer service and ensuring guest satisfaction. This is a fast-paced position with constant guest interaction. This person must be highly motivated, energetic and possess excellent and polished communication skills.Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging serviceProvide the highest quality service to all guests at all times, by instilling the company philosophy.Participate actively in the resolution of guest concerns.Take orders, answer questions, and make recommendations for menu listed products.Use appropriate upselling techniques.Clear, clean, reset and maintain restaurant tables during shift.Assist other Servers in offering the highest level of service.Understand the processes of delivery and removal of all product and equipment.Handle all guest checks according to Hotel policy.Maintain pars and equipment as needed to successfully accomplish all restaurant service tasks.Completion of side work as assigned by Manager.Engage and genuinely interact with guests while anticipating their needsExplain food and beverage items in detail to our guestsFollow all hotel standards, LQA standards, and Forbes 5 Stars standards while conducting self-audits to ensure 100% compliance on all interactions with guests.Complete any necessary opening and closing paperwork and side work duties as requiredWork well with others as a teamPrepare food and beverage as per guidelinesFollow cash handling policies and proceduresAssist in filling in at other F&B areas and/or outlets as neededPerform other related duties as assignedDisplay a congenial appearance and is well groomed at all times.Assist guests in a friendly, professional and polite manner.Maintain regular and predictable attendanceFollow directions from Manager at all times.Other duties as assignedQualificationsPrior serving experience with a minimum of 2 years in a similar restaurant environment.High school diploma or equivalentMust be able to speak, read, write and understand the English language.Requires excellent and polished communication skillsMust possess basic math skills and the ability to use a calculator.Must possess basic computer skills.Ability to solve problems and make rational decisions.Must have superior guest service abilities as well as a complete understanding of California serving guidelines.Possess a proven track record for guest satisfactionPossess a strong sense of urgencyDisplay a pleasant and cheerful dispositionMaintain a high level of integrityDisplay a confident and professional appearance at all times and always meet company grooming standardsAdapt in difficult situations with problem-solving abilities, and make decisions when necessaryAble to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidaysSpeak, write and read English at an advanced levelBasic math – adding, subtracting, divisionCash handling experienceMust be able to obtain a Food Handler CertificationMust be able to obtain TIPs or Alcohol Safety CertificationAdditional InformationWhat is in it for you:Wage: USD $23.00/hourDiscounted hotel rooms and food & beverage rates to employees at our sister properties around the globe.We provide learning programs through our Academies to promote growth and development so that you can perform at your full potential.Opportunity to develop your talent and grow within your property and across the world!Ability to make a difference through our Corporate Social Responsibility activities, like Planet 21 and WATCHAccor is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer EOE/M/F/V/D.We provide an environment of trust, respect, and integrity.
