The role: We are seeking an experienced Senior Zero Harm Advisor to join our Lower North team. The successful candidate will report directly to the Zero Harm Manager - South. This role is to promote and facilitate the consistent delivery of health, safety and environmental (HSE) outcomes that are in line with Hawkins and Downer objectives.
The role requires someone who can engage with the local project leaders to drive improved HSE performance. You will have the ability to influence and drive initiatives through to completion. You will ensure compliance with legislative requirements and the Health & Safety at Work Act, the Resource Management Act and Hawkins/Downer HSE frameworks and standards.
About you: You'll have HSE experience with a track record of achieving HSE outcomes in a complex and diverse building construction environment.You'll be a good influencer, with a strong track record of building HSE engagement.You'll be passionate about mentoring, growing and developing our HSE team.You'll be able to work across the Hawkins business to imbed consistent standards of performance, to make things happen and have the passion, drive and perseverance to follow through.You'll proactively support national health, safety and wellbeing initiatives, including audit and verification programmes, drive HSE systems implementations, implement strategic initiatives and work collaboratively with the Hawkins national HSE team to achieve 'best for business' outcomes in the development and implementation of Hawkins / Downer HSE standards.In return, we offer: The opportunity to make a real difference facilitating strong accountability and ownership of strategic and operational HSE challenges across the business.
