A bit about the roleWe are currently seeking an experienced Senior Wholesale Banking Analyst to join our high performing Auckland team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a 1st line senior analyst role who works in conjunction with the relationship manager with respect to the end-to-end deal origination, approval, and documentation processes for Rabobank New Zealand Wholesale customers.
The objectives of this role are to facilitate and support Wholesale in realizing its strategic ambition, participate in deal teams, prepare credit submissions, and perform proactive risk management/monitoring, while also ensuring that activities are based on a robust risk framework and a strong risk culture.
Some key responsibilities:Conduct thorough credit analyses for corporate clients and syndicate lending transactions.Preparation of high-quality credit submission proposals. Assessment of the proposal and compliance with Credit Risk Policies, Risk Appetite, and previous credit approvals (where applicable).Analysis of Business Risks including non-financial risks (sustainability and management assessment).Analysis of Financial Risks including critical analysis of historical and forecast financial performance with appropriate sensitivities conducted.Determination of credit risk parameters including the Probability of Default (risk rating) and Loss Given Default.Portfolio monitoring, including completion of annual credit reviews in a timely manner and ensure special conditions/covenants are recorded and monitored and satisfied.Establish strong working relationships with all stakeholders including attending customer meetings and working with relationship managers to identify customer opportunities and strategic initiatives.To be successful you will have:Strong experience of at least 10 years with exposure to Corporate/Institutional clients (including syndicated transactions) either as a relationship manager, credit analyst, credit approval or in another relevant capacity.Cash flow forecasting modelling skills.Finance/accounting degree with a post-qualifying degree favorably viewed.Credit, risk, and banking knowledge.Product/market knowledge.Analytical and problem-solving skills.Relationship management & engagement skills viewed favorably.If you are interested in Growing a better world together, please follow the link and apply online or visit www.rabobank.co.nz/careers.
