As we continue to grow, we invite you to join us.We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Water Resource Scientist to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will collaborate with our team of industry-leading hydrogeologists, geologists, ecologists, and groundwater and surface water engineers. You'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of complex and rewarding projects for both private and public sector clients.About the roleThe role will require technical input and solutions to a wide range of environmental projects including the following activities:Preparing proposals and tenders.Preparing and reviewing technical reports.Data analysis and development of conceptual models for groundwater and surface water flow systems.Assessing environmental impacts to fresh and saline waterbodies (rivers, lakes, wetlands, estuaries, tidal inlets).Conduct and oversee fieldwork (business travel might be required).Develop 2D and/or 3D numerical models to support technical investigations.Preparing technical assessments of environmental effects and resource consent applications.Consent conditions, management and monitoring plans.Writing and presenting expert evidence at hearings.Business development by sourcing ongoing work from existing clients, developing new clients.Develop productive relationships with existing and potential clients, key stakeholders and strategic alliances, including related professions and industries, suppliers, regulators and other relevant bodies.Raising the person's personal, as well as, the company's profile by the presentation of papers at conferences.Applying company policies in health and safety, quality, administration, and technical procedures.What you'll bringWe are looking for an individual who is committed to solutions for our environment by using their talent and knowledge to support a variety of projects.
