You are responsible for planning, researching, creating, producing, and presenting video content for various social media channels to help So Drama! Entertainment (SDE) and its key clients engage stakeholders and the general public. You create wide-ranging video content which includes news videos, short films, documentaries, web series, reality series, and corporate videos. You are responsible for all aspects of a video production. This includes overseeing concept development and scripting, filming, hosting, editing, and audio balancing. You should constantly source for interesting and relevant topics for video production, and actively seek out opportunities that can be translated into effective video content for various platforms. One of your main responsibilities will be to cover local and overseas events and produce event coverage, profile or feature videos, with complementary social media content for digital platforms. In support of this, you need to be comfortable appearing on-camera and hosting productions. You also have to be ready to be deployed locally around Singapore as well as for overseas for shoots when required. You will have to work with constraints during planning and make adjustments for on-site shoots and during post-production editing. When required, you may need to produce fast cycle video content for social media as a one-man-operator. You will also have to produce videos to support digital crisis communication and incident response efforts when needed. You are expected to stay updated and be on the constant lookout for new technologies, platforms, software, and new methods of content creation. You would need to be comfortable experimenting, trialing, and adopting new tools and technologies as part of your work. Your challenge lies in understanding audiences and adapting video productions in accordance with evolving trends and audience interests. Skills and Experience Required: Degree, preferably in the field of communications or a relevant domain, majoring in broadcast journalism or film/video production. Diploma holders with a strong interest in current affairs and experience in film/video production will also be considered. At least 2 or more years of relevant work experience will be an advantage, including experience producing a range of video content such as light-hearted, humorous, serious content, as well as long/short-form content for various platforms. Excellent command of English; ability to speak and articulate well with a passion for storytelling, good eye for visuals and attention to detail. Self-disciplined and achievement oriented, able to work independently, as well as quickly and efficiently in ambiguous situations and under time pressure. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, ability to think critically and innovatively to develop assessments and recommendations.
