Senior Venue Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Venue Technician to join this iconic venue in Invercargill.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical aspects of venue operations, ensuring the smooth execution of events and performances.
Key responsibilities include: Overseeing and managing the setup, operation, and maintenance of audio, visual, and lighting equipment.
Coordinating with event organizers, performers, and other stakeholders to ensure technical requirements are met.
Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues promptly during events.
Supervising and training junior technicians and casual staff.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
Managing inventory and scheduling maintenance for all technical equipment.
Assisting with the design and implementation of technical setups for various events.
Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience in a similar role within the events or entertainment industry.
Proficiency in operating and maintaining audio, visual, and lighting equipment.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
Leadership and team management skills.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
