About the opportunity | Te whai waahi

As Senior Utilities Engineer you will provide expert professional engineering services focused on the optimization, maintenance and risk management of mechanical utility assets such as industrial refrigeration, boilers, high-speed rotating equipment and pressure vessels, while setting and managing engineering standards to ensure these assets deliver operational efficiency, compliance and sustainable performance for Fonterra globally.

Key accountabilities include:

Creating and maintaining global engineering standards, codes and guidelines for mechanical utility assets.

Implementing and overseeing engineering practices that enhance the reliability and efficiency of mechanical assets and integrity assessments.

Providing engineering guidance for capital projects and support design managers.

Building and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve performance standards and regulatory compliance.

Fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering community.

Critical skills and experience required:

10+ years experience with Degree in Mechanical or Process Engineering.

Experience in refrigeration and pressure equipment.

Skills in asset integrity assessments and engineering change management.

Experience providing technical direction for capital projects.

Strong relationship-building and team leadership capabilities.

Ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly.
