The opportunity - Te turanga In this role you will:
A core enabling project of our transformation programme is focused on enhancing our data, analytics and AI capability to drive transformation of our processes and systems.We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Engineer to join our Programme team and work on the Data Change Project.The role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the software testing, quality control and release, to ensure a seamless and successful outcome for the programme.The successful candidate will have proven experience in working effectively in a fast-paced delivery environment.This is a 9-month fixed term contract.
To be successful in this role, you will need the following:
Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in software testing, with experience of testing in the context of Data Platforms or Data Products preferred.A very strong technical background in building automation testing frameworks.Familiar with relational database concepts; and working in a cloud data platform environment such as Databricks or Snowflake. Along with an intermediary level of SQL or Python coding experience is preferred.Experience with at least one test automation framework, and a track record of applying test automation at scale.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify process gaps and propose effective solutions.Develop and maintain a comprehensive test strategy and plan; and execute effective test cases and test scripts with supporting documentation to ensure the reliability of data ingestion and transformation processes.Be the quality gatekeeper to ensure all test cases are passed before going into production and that performance test cases are executed.Work with Vendor teams to collaborate and agree on governance processes.Conduct thorough root cause analysis for defects and issues, working closely with the project development teams to identify and address underlying problems.Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity!
